Jesuit College Inventories
“The post-suppression Jesuit College inventories housed in Belarus and Russia will soon be available to scholars from home and abroad. The materials might shed new light on the work of the Commission of National Education,” writes Ewa Konarzewska-Michalak in the latest issue of Życie Uniwersyteckie.
Dr Andrea Mariani from the Faculty of History at Adam Mickiewicz University has been awarded the Opus grant for developing and editing a source inventory from the Jesuit Colleges in Niasvizh and Nowogródek. He produced the first complete edition of its kind (The Inventories of the Jesuit College in Niasvizh and its Estates from 1773-1774). The continuation of the book, published this year by AMU Press, is a project that will enable comparative research to be conducted.
