The Declaration was drafted on the basis of self-assessment and using the website evaluation tool: Test - European Internet Inclusion Initiative available at: http://checkers.eiii.eu. The survey shows that the website meets the requirements in 98.28%.

The website is equipped with features to make it easier for people with disabilities to view content:

• font size change switch - so that users with impaired vision experience more comfort while using the site;
• contrast switches - to increase the comfort for users with impaired vision;
• links open in the same window - so that users have more control of their browser;
• skip navigation technology – allows quick movement to selected elements of the website;
• text on the website is presented in a way that is easy to understand and is formatted in accordance with accessibility rules.

Complaints and appeals

Every person has the right to:

• make comments on the digital accessibility of the website or an element thereof,
• request digital access to the website or an element thereof,
• request that otherwise unavailable information be made available in an alternative form.

Such a request must include:

• the contact details of the person making the request,
• an indication of the website or an element of the website to which the request is related,
• an indication of the most convenient form of making the requested information available, in the case of a request for unavailable information to be made available in an alternative form.

The complaint shall be processed without delay, within 7 days at the latest. If it is not possible to provide accessibility or provide access in an alternative form within this time limit, the processing should take place at the latest within 2 months from the date of notification.

If digital accessibility cannot be provided, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. Where a public entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative means of accessing the information, the requester may file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or element of the website or mobile application. After having exhausted the procedures outlined above, a complaint may also be submitted to the Ombudsman.

Description: There are 2 parking spaces for persons with disabilities near the entrance to the building: the first one at a distance of 0.5 m, the second one 15 m from the side entrances (access to the building is possible for persons with disabilities from both sides of the car park).

Main entrance to the building:

• no stairs, access from the 'zero level',
• automatic door.

Inside the building there are:

• lifts that serve all floors and parts of the building,
• vertical and stair lifts:

1 x vertical lift from the main entrance (level-0) to the main hallway level (level-0),
1 x vertical lift (level-0) Slavonic Philology Department (no difference in levels),
1 x vertical lift from the library lobby to level -1 of the main part of the building,
1 x stair lift in the main hallway,

• 5 toilets adapted for persons with disabilities:

1 x disabled toilet (main hallway, level 0),
4 x toilets for the disabled (faculty library, level 0,1,2,3),

• there are lifts with both voice announcements and Braille buttons and those without voice announcements.

Information system for people with sensory disabilities includes:

• five rooms with inductophone loops for people with hearing disabilities: Kuraszkiewicz Hall 014, Room 220, Room 327, The Śniadecki Hall, Mickiewicz Hall,
• entrance doors to the rooms are fitted with plaques containing the room number written in Braille along with QR code information.

It is possible to enter the building with an assistance dog without any restrictions (based on the Act on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities).
Additional information: there are direction signs in the building showing access to regular lifts and lifts for persons with disabilities, as well as toilets for persons with disabilities.
There is no website for the building.
