AMU Press is currently located in the historic Collegium Maius building, whose history dates back to the times of the Prussian partition. It housed institutions such as the Prussian Colonisation Commission, and after the outbreak of the Wielkopolska Uprising it was the seat of the Supreme People's Council and the Royal Prussian Settlement Commission, and in 1920 it was taken over by the University of Poznań. Today, it is the seat of the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań, and our Press¹.
