Autor rozważa związek edukacji z rodziną, jak się okazuje – ważny ze względów pedagogicznych i dla podmiotów go tworzących, wymagający swoistego monitoringu badawczego, wynikającego z dynamiki jego postaci, warunkowanej bogatym kontekstem „płynnych” uwarunkowań. Opis i analiza problematyki związku edukacji z rodziną oparte są na refleksjach teoretycznych, poszukiwaniach badawczych, wynikających z nich wnioskach także wynikach badań własnych. Pozwala to na rozpatrzenie i zaprezentowanie zasadniczego przedmiotu poznania w dwóch wymiarach: społecznym – poprzez odwołanie się do ujęcia obiektywistycznego oraz indywidualistycznym, podmiotowym – z perspektywy subiektywizmu. Konkretyzację obrazu edukacji wiązanej z rodziną, opartą na współistnieniu elementów znaczących strukturalnie, jak i tych wynikających z jakościowych badań jednostkowych biografii zawierają kolejne rozdziały książki. Zawarta jest w nich między innymi refleksja wskazująca na trendy ponowoczesności i te obowiązujące w kontekstach społeczeństwa polskiego, także wzbudzająca zainteresowanie biografią – jako kategorią wykorzystywaną do przyglądania się edukacji.

The relationship between education and a family, which is not immune to ideas as well as social and cultural influences, needs to be constantly recognized and co-created in a sensible way. This relationship, which is important for pedagogic reasons and from the point of view of the parties to it, turns out to require specific research monitoring as a result of its dynamics, as it is surrounded by a rich context of “fluid” determinants. The relationship between education and a family is described and analyzed based on theoretical reflections, research quest as well as the resulting conclusions and the author’s own research results and in accordance with the author’s assumption on two planes: a social one – through referring to an objectivist and individualist approach, and a subjective one – from the perspective of subjectivism. A reflection on a postmodern society pointing to its trends and relating to conditions that are characteristic of Polish society which is undergoing transformation makes the image of education associated with a family and based on the coexistence of both structurally significant elements and those which result from the qualitative studies on individual biographies more concrete. Identification of key issues related to “education in context” encompassing a family as well as the intention to comment on such issues entails a cognitive focus on biography, which, at the same time, provides justification for (re)constructing individual education-related biographies. Thanks to such biographies, the relationship between education and a family gains significance and the perspective on the processes taking place in contemporary education becomes broader. What is important in such education is a consequence of the proposed contextual and biographyfocused
approach.
