Zabójstwo dziecka w literaturze i kulturze europejskiej II

PLN 10.00

Praca stanowi kontynuację książki „Zabójstwa dziecka w literaturze i kulturze europejskiej”.

The book deals with the problem touched upon in a previous work titled:  porusza problemy podjęte wcześniej w pracy: Infanticide in European culture and literature. Infanticide in European culture and literature II is a continuation of this work. It comprises selected papers delivered at the scientific session titled  Infanticide in European culture and literature II organisedy the Institute of History at Adam Mickiewicz University, the Institute of Polish Philology at Adam Mickiewicz University and Akademie Artes Liberales. Infanticide is portrayed in the book as a phenomenon present since the dawn of human civilisation, with each paper showing different aspects of this. They concentrate on legal issues, analysing legal regulations relating to infanticide at various levels of cultural development, and also present its sociological conditions and criminology theories to explain it. The book also contains works from the field of literary studies which analyse infanticide as a subject existing in myth and literature. This is the second attempt undertaken by authors and editors to discuss in Polish terms an issue with a long-term presence in the Anglo-Saxon humanities tradition.
