Charakterystyka i konsekwencje potocznego rozumienia emocji

PLN 15.00

The theme of this book is the knowledge about emotions that people construct in order to understand their own as well as others' emotions. The book attempts to answer questions about the importance and meaning of emotional processes, which are lay questions from a scientific point of view. The main idea is to describe the formal and structural aspect of the colloquial understanding of emotions as well as to identify its functions and operational value. The first part presents, in the following order: the separation of folk theories of emotions from common theories of emotions, the comparison between scientific and lay theories, and a description of the content, the models of understanding as well as the consequences of common theories. The second part presents the role that prototype formation plays in developing the lexicon of emotions. The third part is devoted to the emotive meaning of basic and complex emotions as well as to international comparisons in this regard and phonetic symbolism. The third part deals with the consequences of emotional complexity which is exemplified by the theory of alexithymia as
well as the concept of integrative complexity.
