Izabella Łabędzka – profesor sinologii na Uniwersytecie im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu. Ukończyła studia teatrologiczne i sinologiczne w Warszawie. Jest specjalistą w zakresie chińskiego i tajwańskiego teatru i dramatu, komparatystyki literackiej i teatralnej. Od 2004 r. prowadzi badania naukowe na Tajwanie jako wielokrotna stypendystka Biblioteki Narodowej Tajwanu, Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation i Ministerstwa Spraw Zagranicznych Tajwanu. Jej monografia zatytułowana Gao Xingjian’s Idea of Theatre. From the Word to the Image została opublikowana w 2008 r. przez Brill Academic Publishers. W 2020 r. nakładem Wydawnictwa Naukowego UAM ukazała się jej kolejna monografia Cud uscieleśnionych metamorfoz. Tajwański teatr tańca i ruchu.

Izabella Łabędzka – PhD (dr hab.), is a professor of Chinese Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. She specializes in Chinese/Taiwanese theatre and drama, comparative literature and drama. Since 2004 she has been conducting her research in Taiwan as a National Central Library / Center for Chinese Studies Fellow, Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation Fellow and MOFA Fellow (Taiwan Fellowship). Her monograph entitled Gao Xingjian’s Idea of Theatre. From the Word to the Image was published by Brill Academic Publishers in 2008. In 2020, the first volume of her monograph on Taiwanese dance theatre entitled Cud ucieleśnionych metamorfoz. Tajwański teatr tańca i ruchu (The Miracle of Embodied Metamorphoses. Taiwanese Dance Theatre and the Theatre of Movement) was published by Adam Mickiewicz University Press.
