The presented book is a classical phytosociological monograph. It deals with the diversity of alluvial vegetation of an area of ca. 70 km2 situated in the river valley between the Western Oder and its branch Regalica. These are, one of the largest and most valuable in Europe, riparian swamps, the proposed 'SAC' object of Natura 2000, placed just on the border between Poland and Germany. The monograph contains: the syntaxonomical register and description of plant communities, 40 phytosociological tables with 478 classical releves, a colourful map of real vegetation at the scale of 1:10 000, as well as a short synthesis of the current state of vascular flora and an overall assessment of the area's natural values. The author's interpretation of the plant cover's variability is discussed on the background of the area's physiography which is outlined at the beginning of the study. The book is well illustrated with colour pictures.

Monografia poświęcona szacie roślinnej Międzyodrza, chronionego w Parku Krajobrazowym Dolina Dolnej Odry - będącego międzynarodowym obszarem węzłowym w europejskiej sieci ECONET ze względu na rolę w ochronie bioróżnorodności i funkcje środowiskotwórcze. Dokumentuje stan: flory naczyniowej, zbiorowisk roślinnych (w ujęciu fitosocjologicznym) oraz krajobrazu roślinnego (metodą synfitosocjologiczną), a opiera się na oryginalnym materiale z badań terenowych przeprowadzonych w latach 1998-2002. Całość uzupełnia barwna mapa roślinności rzeczywistej (na CD) w skali 1 : 10 000 (dla obszaru ok. 80 km2), sporządzona na podstawie kartowania terenowego i specjalnie wykonanych zdjęć lotniczych w skali 1 : 5000.
