Tom zawiera 8 artykułów poświęconych DNA i RNA, ujętych w dwie części tematyczne. Artykuły w części pierwszej przybliżają problemy związane z modyfikacją cząsteczki DNA oraz z wykorzystaniem powstających produktów w diagnostyce medycznej, a niekiedy nawet w terapii nowotworowej. W drugiej części autorzy podejmują tematykę kwasów rybonukleinowych z uwzględnieniem nowego nurtu badań RNA, tzw. niekodujących RNA, będących – jak się wydaje – istotnymi elementami związanymi z informacją genetyczną w komórce.

This volume contains 8 articles devoted to DNA and RNA, interpreted according to two kinds of subject matter. In the first part, the article bring closer the problems connected with the modification of the DNA particle and with the use of products that are formed in medical diagnostics, and sometimes even in the cancer therapy. In the second part the authors take up the subject of ribonucleic acids, taking into account the new trend in the RNA research, the so called non-coding RNA, being - as it seems - essential elements connected with the genetic information in the cell.
