„Czasopismo Prawno-Historyczne” (Journal of Law and History) is abbreviated into CPH and it will be called so henceforth) was founded in 1948 by Professor Zygmunt Wojciechowski and it is regularly published on a biannual basis. CPH is the oldest and most important body of Polish law historians which is devoted to the history of the political system, law as well as to the legal and political thought from the Ancient East to the contemporary times. Inside CPH are announced results of studies from the fields of Methodology of Historical and Legal Studies, General History of the Law, Ancient and Roman law, History of the Polish Political Systems and Law, Canon Law, History of Political and Legal Doctrines. The most eminent law historians from Poland and from other countries from every continent publish texts in CPH. CPH runs sections on treatises, small works and materials, history of historical and legal studies, critiques (review articles, reviews and review notes) and chronicle of scientific life. Moreover, the journal annually posts materials to the historical and legal Polish bibliography. Summaries in English and French are attached to the treatises.
