Dr Michał Nowicki – adiunkt w Zakładzie Historii Wychowania na Wydziale Studiów Edukacyjnych UAM. Ukończył studia magisterskie na Wydziale Historycznym UAM, a doktoranckie na Wydziale Studiów Edukacyjnych UAM, broniąc w 2011 r. pracę doktorską nt. działalności edukacyjnej Akademii Lubrańskiego w XVI–XV1II w. Obecnie prowadzi badania naukowe w obszarze historii edukacji staropolskiej, zwłaszcza codziennej praktyki szkolnej w kręgu szkół jezuickich i akademickich, a także w zakresie edukacji filozoficznej w starożytnych Indiach – zwłaszcza okresu upaniszadowego i obecności struktur inicjacyjnych w edukacji. Uzyskał wyróżnienia i nagrody za działalność naukową (w tym I miejsce w Konkursie Miasta Poznania na najlepszą pracę doktorską) i organizacyjną. Opublikował około 50 prac naukowych, w tym jedną książkę autorską i dwie współautorskie. Jest członkiem Towarzystwa Historii Edukacji. Poza działalnością naukową prowadzi Fundację na rzecz rozwoju świadomości ATARAXIA i projekt Szkoły Leśnej w Grupie, w ramach których realizuje zajęcia w duchu holistycznym z dziećmi, młodzieżą i dorosłymi.

Dr Michał Nowicki - is an assistant professor at the Department of History of Education at the Faculty of Educational Studies of Adam Mickiewicz University. He completed his master's studies at the Faculty of History at the Adam Mickiewicz University and his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Educational Studies of the Adam Mickiewicz University, defending 2011 his doctoral thesis on the educational activity of the Lubrański Academy in the 16th-18th centuries. Currently, the author conducts research in the field of 1) the history of Old Polish education, especially everyday school practice in the circle of Jesuit and academic schools, and 2) in the field of philosophical education in ancient India - especially the Upanishads period and the presence of initiation structures in education. He received distinctions and awards for his scientific activity (including first place in the Competition of the City of Poznań for the best doctoral thesis) and organizational activity. He published about 50 scientific papers, including one author's book and two co-authors. He is a member of the Society for the History of Education. In addition to scientific activity, he runs the "Foundation for the Development of Awareness ATARAXIA" and the project of the "Forest School in the Grupa", under which he conducts classes in a holistic spirit with children, youth, and adults.
