prof. UAM dr hab. Radosław Piętka - jest absolwentem filologii klasycznej i polonistyki, profesorem na Wydziale Filologii Polskiej i Klasycznej Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu; zajmuje się tematami astronomicznymi i mitologicznymi w literaturze rzymskiej oraz recepcją antyku w kulturze współczesnej, zwłaszcza w literaturze i filmie. Stażysta American Academy w Rzymie (2011), stypendysta Ministerstwa Edukacji Narodowej oraz Fundacji Lanckorońskich (2007, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2021), laureat nagrody Stowarzyszenia Historyków Starożytności (2016), autor monografii Kaliope i Urania: rzymskie poematy astronomiczne (Poznań 2005) oraz Roma aeterna. Rzymska mitologia urbanistyczna (Poznań 2015). Publikował m.in. w „Tekstach Drugich”, „Pamiętniku Literackim”, „Znaku”, „Terminusie”, „Eos”, „Meandrze”, „Teologii Politycznej”, „Harvard Studies in Classical Philology”. Jest też autorem lub współautorem licznych przekładów z języka łacińskiego, w tym części Astronomików Marka Maniliusza, osiemnastowiecznej kroniki jezuitów, kroniki Konwentu Bernardynów Sierakowskich czy tekstów medycznych z XIX wieku.

prof. UAM dr hab.Radosław Piętka - is a graduate of Classics and Polish Philology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and is a professor at the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology at the same university. His research mainly concerns astronomical and mythological themes in Roman literature and the reception of antiquity in contemporary culture, especially in literature and film. He was an intern at the American Academy in Rome (2011). He was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of National Education and the Lanckoroński Foundation (2007, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2021), and was the winner of the Association of Historians of Antiquity prize (2016). He has authored the monographs Kaliope and Urania: Roman Astronomical Poems (Poznań 2005) and Roma Aeterna. Roman Urban Mythology (Poznań 2015). He has published in such periodicals as Teksty Drugie, Pamiętnik Literacki, Znak, Terminus, Eos, Meander, and Harvard Studies in Classical Philology. He is also the author or co-author of numerous translations from Latin, including some parts of Marcus Manilius’s Astronomica, the 18th-century chronicle of the Jesuits, the chronicle of the Sierakowski Bernardine Convent and medical texts from the 19th century.
