Książka napisana jest na bazie wyników badań Polska integracja z Unia Europejska - stosunek i opinie mieszkanców Wielkpolski. Celem była charakterystyka preferencji mieszkanców Wielkopolski podczas referendum przed przystapieniem Polski do Unii. Wzięto pod uwage szereg czynników, które determionują decyzje mieszkanców Wielkopolski - 1. znajomość Unii Europejskiej i polskiej integracji; 2. zainteresowanie Unią Europejską; 3. ocena wiedzy respondentów koniecznej do podejmowania decyzji podczas referendum; 4. główne problemy związane z integracją, które są interesujące dla mieszkanców Wielkopolski; 5. kanały informacyjne dotyczące Unii i procesu akcesyjnego; 6. ocena przez respondentów ich własnego życia - pozycji obecnej i przewidywania na przyszłość - zarówno w przypadku przystąpenia jak i nieprzystapienia do Unii; 7. cechy grup i kategorii społencznych, których sytuacja sie pogorszy; 8. charakterystyka aspektów i warunków życia, które się poprawią po przystąpieniu kraju do Unii i tych, które się pogorszą; 9. charakterystyka głównych zagrożeń wynikających z integracji Polski z Unią; 10. formy akceptowanej obecności obcokrajowców po integracji Polski z Unią Europejską. Wpływ tych czynników na chcą wzięcia udziału w referendum i deklarowane metody głosowania zostały przeanalizowane i opisane w tej pracy.

The book was written on the basis the of results of research on "Polish integration with the European Union - Attitudes and opinions of the Wielkopolska province inhabitants." The aim of the research was to characterise preferences of the Wielkopolska inhabitants during the referendum preceding Polish integration with the European Union. The following key factors, which determine decisions of Wielkopolska inhabitants, are presented in this book: 1) knowledge of the European Union and Polish integration with the European Union; 2) interest in the European Union functioning and results of Polish integration with the European Union; 3) evaluation of respondents' knowledge necessary to make a decision during the referendum; 4) main problems connected with integration, which are interesting for Wielkopolska inhabitants; 5) information channels concerning the European Union and the process of accession, which are presently used and preferred during the campaign; 6) evaluation of respondents' own life position and forecast of life position in case of integration with the European Union and in case of rejection of the integration; 7) characteristics of social groups and categories, situation of which will improve after the integration and social groups and categories, situation of which will worsen; 8) characteristics of aspects and conditions of life, which will improve after the integration, of those which will worsen; 9) characteristics of the main threats resulting from Polish integration with the European Union; I0) forms of accepted foreigners' presence after Polish integration with the European Union. Influence of these factors on willingness to take part in the referendum and declared methods of voting, was then analysed in detail and described in this book.
