Lech Maligranda ORCID Logo

prof. dr hab. Lech Maligranda  - uzyskał doktorat z matematyki na Uniwersytecie im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu w 1979 roku, a jego promotorem był Władysław Orlicz. Pracował w Polskiej Akademii Nauk w Poznaniu, na Uniwersytecie Centralnym Wenezueli (UCV) w Caracas, w Wenezuelskim Instytucie Badań Naukowych (IVIC) w Caracas i w Claremont McKenna College w Claremont CA, USA. Pracował na Uniwersytecie Technicznym w Lulea (Szwecja), gdzie w 1991 r. uzyskał habilitację, a w 2000 r. został profesorem matematyki. Od kwietnia 2020 roku pracuje na Politechnice Poznańskiej. Otrzymał Nagrodę Główną PTM im. Stefana Banacha w 1982 r., Nagrodę Państwową z CONICIT w Wenezueli w 1990 r., Nagrodę dla najlepszego nauczyciela w Lulea w 2001 roku oraz Nagrodę Główną PTM im. Samuela Dicksteina za 2016 rok za wybitne osiągnięcia w badaniu historii matematyki. Jego prace naukowe obejmują analizę funkcjonalną, analizę rzeczywistą, nierówności oraz historię matematyki. Jest autorem lub współautorem ponad dwustu prac naukowych, czterech książek z materiałami konferencyjnymi Banach and Function Spaces (Yokohama Publishers 2004, 2008, 2011, 2014) oraz trzech monografii: Orlicz Spaces and Interpolation (Campinas, 1989); Multiplicative Inequalities of Carlson Type and Interpo/ation (World Scientific 2006) i The Hardy Inequality About its History and Some Related Results (Pilzen 2007).

prof. dr hab. Lech Maligranda - obtained a doctorate in mathematics at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań in 1979, under the supervision of Władysław Orlicz. He worked at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań, at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) in Caracas, at the Venezuelan Institute Scientific Research (IVIC) in Caracas and at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont CA, USA. He worked at the Technical University in Lulea (Sweden), where in 1991 he obtained his habilitation, and in 2000 he became a professor of mathematics. Since Apńl 2020, he has been working at the Poznań University of Technology. He received the Main Prize of the PTM Stefan Banach in 1982, the State Award with CONICIT in Venezuela in 1990, Best Teacher Award in Lulea in 2001, and the Main Prize of the PTM Samuel Dickstein for 2016 for outstanding achievements in the bistory of mathematics. His research studies include functional analysis, real analysis, inequalities, and the history of mathematics. He is the author or co-author of over two hundred scientific papers, four books with conference materials Banach and Function Spaces (Yokohama Publishers, 2004, 2008, 2011, 2014) and three monographs: Orlicz Spaces and Interpolation (Campinas, 1989), Multiplicative Inequalities of Carlson Type and Interpolation (World Scientific, 2006) and The Hardy Inequality – About its History and Some Related Results (Pilzen, 2007).
