The present book contains the results of research on a potential dramaturgy in the medieval chronicle which is a narrative form. The author tries to examine this question using textual analyses and comparing a text with medieval stage practices. Another important factor was a theatrality of a social life, which was vivid depicted by chroniclers. Theirs writing manner are linked up with ancient and medieval poetics. For an analysis were mainly chosen chronicles coming from Poland and Germany. Although it is rather impossible to find any direct relation between the medieval theatre and the medieval chronicle, many similarities between these two forms are noticeable.
