The idea of an "Open University" that welcomes anyone who wants to gain knowledge and pursue higher education has been put into practice for many years. However, it is not only the idea, but also properly prepared higher education institutions that make it possible for people with disabilities to fully participate in education. The elimination of barriers, from architectural to economic and mental, is an incredibly important task which takes time and requires involvement not only from academics but also from students themselves, including those with disabilities. An exchange of experiences between academic centers may contribute to improving the quality of higher education for
