Praca poświęcona niezwykle aktualnej problematyce transformacji systemów społecznych. Przy tym niełatwym temacie autor w sposób oryginalny wykorzystał teorię T. Parsona, a także najnowsze teorie z pogranicza socjologii i ekonomii. Ten aparat badawczy został skutecznie użyty do analizy procesu przekształcenia społeczeństwa autorytarnego socjalizmu. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje empiryczna część pracy, w której autor, wykorzystując świetnie sobie znaną sytuację przedsiębiorstw, skupia się na wymiarze mikro i mezo procesu przekształceń.

This book addresses the very valid subject of social systems. The analysis of the process of transformation of the society of authoritarian socialism in Poland was done drawing on Talcott Parsons' theory as well as several latest theories from the borderline between sociology and economics. The empirical part of the paper focuses on the systemic change in micro and mezzo dimension, i.e. on the level of industrial companies. Open and hidden motives are presented as well as functions of players and institutions operating in the economy. The book ends with deliberations on the future of the public sector in Poland's economy.
