Celem pracy jest ukazanie perspektyw temporalnych młodzieży: ich treści, struktury, realizmu i rozciągłości oraz dominującej orientacji. Autorka podejmuje próbę rozpoznania wybranych uwarunkowań podmiotowych i pozapodmiotowych procesu kształtowania się perspektyw temporalnych dorastających dziewcząt i chłopców. Wyniki badań pozwalają określić specyfikę zmian rozwojowych perspektyw temporalnych w okresie dorastania i ich uwarunkowań podmiotowych, takich jak: wiek, płeć, poziom rozwoju operacji umysłowych oraz uwarunkowań rodzinnych, edukacyjnych i społeczno-ekonomicznych. Wzbogacają wiedzę psychologiczną dotyczącą znaczenia procesu transformacji systemowej zachodzącej w Polsce dla przekształceń perspektyw temporalnych młodych Polaków.

The main aim of this book is to stvidy temporal perspectives in adolescence with reference to the future: their content, structure, realism and extension, and the prevailing orientation. In this work the author also made an attempt at the recognition of the role of determinants, both individual and external, for the formation of temporal perspectives of youth. Results of studies allowed to recognise the specificity of developmental changes of temporal perspectives in adolescence and factors such as age, sex, level of intellectual operations, and connected with the family and education and socio-economic systems. The results of the author's studies enriched, among other things, the psychological knowledge about the meaning of the process of transformation of socio-economic system in Poland for the formation of temporal perspectives of young Poles.
