Femtosekundowa spektroskopia absorpcji przejściowej
Autor podsumowuje swoje doświadczenia w tworzeniu i wykorzystaniu różnorodnych metod pikosekundowej i femtosekundowej spektroskopii rozdzielczej w czasie.

Femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy in the UV- Visible spectral domain is one of the most powerful spectroscopic techniques for the investigation of dynamics of ultrafast photophysical and photo-chemical phenomena and the lifetimes of short living species. With this method changes in the electronic absorption spectrum of a sample after excitation by an ultrashort laser pulse can be measured. Typically such a system operates with Ti:Sapphire laser producing up to 1 m J energy per pulse at about 1 kilohertz repetition rate. Several schemes of the experimental setup have been proposed to improve the sensitivity of the transiem absorption measurements as well as the temporal resolution. Although this method is based on a very simple idea urany experimental artifacts (GVD effect, unwanted signals) can make the data analysis more difficult. To illustrate the possible application of this technique the results of the ex-perimental study of different molecular systems are presented: ultrafast events accompanying the elec-tron photodetachment from the hexacyanoferrate (II) complex in water solution; the properties of locally excited and charge transfer states of DCM molecule and the pathways of its deactivation; and the excep-tionally fast reaction of a photoreduction Prom the excited singlet stale of aza-aromatic derivatives of bipiridine.
