The book concerns Australia and its great importance as an economically developed country. The 1970s economic reforms introduced marked a turning point in the country's development. Although then Prime Minister Gough Whitlam’s term in power was short-lived (1972–1975), he has gone in Australian history as an inspirational and visionary figure.
