W najprostszym przypadku, ogólne mechanizmy wymuszania przez te przepisy derogacji norm są podobne, aczkolwiek różnią się w szczegółach. Bardziej złożona sytuacja ma miejsce przy uchylaniu przepisów wspomnianych trzech rodzajów. Dalsze komplikacje powstają, gdy uwzględnia się przepisy o wejściu w życie aktów normatywnych oraz normy sankcjonujące.

Derogation is the expiry of the validity of a legal norm. There are several circumstances that impart derogation, with the most important role of the legislator that introduces the so-called repealing provisions, changing provisions and inserting provisions. In the simplest case, the general mechanisms of the enforcement of norm derogation are similar; they nevertheless differ in details. A more complex situation occurs when the three mentioned types of acts are repealed. The situation becomes even more complicated when we take into account the provisions pertaining to the coming into force of normative acts and sanctioning norms.
