KLIO Prize

KLIO Prize

 

The Adam Mickiewicz University Press, Poznań, has received a distinction in the editorial category in the KLIO Award Competition for the Best Historical Book for "Diary, VOL 1. Memories from Childhood. Diary 1808-1830' and 'Diary, VOL 2, Diary 1831-1866' (by Atanazy Raczynski, translated from French and German and prepared for publication by Aleksander Wit Labuda and Michał Mencfel).

The choice was made by the KLIO Award jury: Prof. Dr hab. Halina Manikowska, Prof. Dr hab. Tomasz Szarota (head), Prof. Dr hab. Jacek Banaszkiewicz, Prof. Dr hab. Jan Kieniewicz, Prof. Dr hab. Maciej Janowski, Tomasz Łubieński, Marian Turski and Tomasz Urzykowski after evaluating 215 books published in 2019–2020.

Every year since 1995, the Historical Book Publishers' Association has honoured the contribution made by Polish authors to the popularisation of history, and recognises publishers of historical literature by awarding the KLIO Prize.
