For 30 years, the Polish Book Chamber has taken up a variety of challenges, bringing together the most important players on the book market. The focus is on ensuring a rich offer of books in bookstores at accessible prices, and effective promotion of reading. As a member of the Federation of European Publishers (FEP), the Polish Book Chamber is in contact with best practices in well-developed book markets. At the European level, it participates in work on adapting copyright law to the requirements of the developing digital market, on preferential VAT rates for books regardless of media, and on combating online piracy. The Chamber is engaged in a constant dialogue with the ministries of culture, education, finance and development. First and foremost, it works closely with librarians, booksellers, writers and printers.
