Krystyna Tuszyńska ORCID Logo

prof. zw. dr hab. Krystyna Tuszyńska – filolożka klasyczna z wykształceniem filozoficznym, hellenistka, literaturoznawczyni. Literaturę i kulturę grecką postrzega jako kontinuum, od starożytności, przez średniowieczne Bizancjum, po czasy współczesne. Jest tłumaczką tekstów sofistów i filozofów starożytnych, autorką dziewięciu książek z zakresu retoryki i filozofii greckiej, a także podręcznika do języka nowogreckiego Pes to sta ellinika (Powiedz to po grecku, 2006). W 2003 r. dzięki przychylności Władz Rektorskich założyła na UAM nowy kierunek – filologię nowogrecką i do 2017 r. pełniła funkcję Kierownika Zakładu Filologii Nowogreckiej. Współpracuje z Athens Institute for Education and Research w Atenach, przez lata współpracowała z Uniwersytetem Arystotelesa w Salonikach. W maju 2022 r. została uhonorowana przez Prezydenta RP Złotym Medalem za Wieloletnią Służbę. Całą pracę naukową i dydaktyczną (od 1976 r.) związała z Uniwersytetem im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, najpierw wykładając na Wydziale Filologii Polskiej i Klasycznej, a od 2003 r. na Wydziale Neofilologii.

prof. zw. dr hab. Krystyna Tuszyńska  – classical philologist with a background in philosophy, Hellenist, literary scholar. She regards Greek literature and culture as a continuum, from antiquity, through medieval Byzantium, to modern times. She is a translator of texts by sophists and philosophers of antiquity, and the author of nine books on Greek rhetoric and philosophy, as well as a textbook on the New Greek language Pes to sta ellinika (Say it in Greek, 2006). In 2003, thanks to the goodwill of the Rector's Office, she founded a new course of study at AMU – Modern Greek Philology – and served as Head of the Department of Modern Greek Philology until 2017. She collaborates with the Athens Institute for Education and Research in Athens and has worked for years with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In May 2022, she was awarded the Gold Medal for Long Service by the President of the Republic of Poland. All her scientific and teaching work (since 1976) has been associated with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, first teaching in the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology and since 2003 in the Faculty of Modern Languages.
