The book is the first monograph in humanities merging the issues of the human self with linguistics, theory of communication, and linguistic phenomenology. It can be utilized as an academic handbook by students taking part in linguistic seminars and scholars leading specialized workshops in the area of language communication.
Departing from the premises that language in itself is only a theoretical model defined for investigative purposes, the authoress states that its realization used to be accessible by text-processing activities and texts of communicating individuals that can be observed in the physical domain as the sets of tasks, intentions or meanings associated with these codes. For uniting the exploring endeavors of representatives of various disciplines, she postulates to conduct the transdisciplinary research, which would deal with the multidimensionality of the human self as members of discursive communities co-determined by natural and cultural conditionings of language communication.
The book promotes and integrates the achievements of at least six areas, such as (linguistic dimensions of the self, (2) existential-transcendental phenomenology of personal and subjective consciousness, (3) human linguistics from the perspective of hard sciences, (4) pragmatics of individual and social communication, (4) transactional nature of communicative interactions in interpersonal and intersubjective relations, as well as (6) the formation of linguistic competence of communicating individuals in the context of the social construction of reality.

Książka jest pierwszą monografią humanistyczną łączącą problematykę jaźni człowieka z lingwistyką, teorią komunikacji i semiotyką fenomenologiczną. Może być wykorzystywana jako podręcznik akademicki przez studentów biorących udział w seminariach językoznawczych lub pracowników naukowych prowadzących warsztaty specjalizacyjne z zakresu komunikacji językowej.
Wychodząc od przesłanki, że język sam w sobie jest tylko modelem teoretycznym zdefiniowanym na potrzeby badawcze, autorka stwierdza, że jego realizacja bywa dostępna jedynie poprzez czynności tekstotwórcze i teksty jednostek komunikujących się, które mogą być obserwowane w domenie fizycznej jako zbiór kodów głosowo-słuchowych lub ich form zastępczych oraz wnioskowane w domenie logicznej jako zbiór zadań, intencji czy znaczeń skojarzonych z tymi kodami.
