Familia Dei jest zbiorem studiów historyczno-kulturowych i literackich poświęconych wizerunkowi duchowieństwa ewangelickiego (luterańskiego) w Niemczech od czasów Reformacji po współczesność. Analiza wybranych świadectw autobiograficznych teologów, pastorów oraz diakonis wprowadza Czytelnika w świat kultury niemieckiego protestantyzmu, widziany także z perspektywy stosunków polsko-niemieckich. Wybrane teksty niemieckiej literatury pięknej pozwalają zgłębić problemy omówione w badaniach nad dokumentami autobiograficznymi duchowieństwa ewangelickiego.

Familia Dei is a collection of historical, cultural and literary studies of the image of the evangelistic (Lutheran) clergy in Germany from the reformation period up to current limes. The analysis of autobiographies created by theologians, pastors and deaconesses introduces the Reader to the culture of German Protestantism, also seen from the perspective of Polish-German relations. A selection of German fiction allows the Reader to understand the problems discussed in the studies on autobiographical materials of the evangelistic clergy in a more profound way.
