Celem pracy było pokazanie związku między strukturą koncepcji demokracji i interesu narodowego, a także stosunku do wartości. do których się one odnoszą. Omówiono sytuację polityczną, do której te pojęcia mają odniesienie. Polityczna interpretacja i względna centrowość badanych podejść charakteryzują się większą stabilnością w czasie niż intensywnością.

The aim of this work was to show the relation between the structure of concepts of democracy and national interest, and also attitudes to values to which they refer. Political situation is analysed in which these concepts occur as instruments of interpretation. To this end the longitudinal variam of the so called intragroup research model was applied. The manner in which people interpret political phenomena is connected to a much greater extent with the relative centrality of an attitude to a value which is significant in a definite political situation than with the intensity of this attitude and the degree of normativity of concepts which refer to these values. Political interpretation and the relative centrality of the studied attitudes are characterized by a considerably greater extent of stability in time than their intensity and degree.
