„Człowiek i Społeczeństwo” to czasopismo naukowe Wydziału Nauk Społecznych Uniwersytetu im.

„Człowiek i Społeczeństwo” is an academic journal of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University, published in both paper and on-line versions. It focuses both on the issues of the individual and communities in the context of contemporary culture. A distinctive feature of the Journal is its interdisciplinary approach incorporating the application of different methods and theories characteristic of separate disciplines taught at the AMU Faculty of Social Sciences, i.e. cognitive science, cultural studies, philosophy, psychology and sociology. The aim of the journal is to break down the walls separating academic disciplines, to integrate research in the field of social sciences, and indicate new research areas that require an interdisciplinary approach. By initiating discussions, the journal also aims to work out new dimensions and viewpoints on issues that have been the subjects of interest for separate social sciences, whilst at the same time contributing to the development of the latter.

This volume of "Człowiek i Społeczeństwo" consists of articles submitted by Polish and Moroccan authors, examining the issue of trust. Trust is analyzed here from various points of view, since the notion is very complex itself. Therefore in the volume one can find texts presenting understanding of notion from: sociological, psychological, cultural, philosophical and linguistic points of view. All of the authors treat trust as a notion that creates a base for development of contemporary societies. Moreover - trust is understood here as form of social capital, that can be created by conscious efforts. All of the authors - although presenting various perspectives on this issue - agree, that trust is most important notion, that unites humans functioning in dynamic, postmodern and multicultural world.
